High $takes

High $takes is a High Rollers Club Casino, which integrates a classic style with cutting edge gaming technology. Inspired by old Hollywood and the "Rat Pack", this space feels like it is meant to be in a historic city such as Boston.

The casino is located in South Boston, across the street from the convention center. It occupies the top floor of a nine story building. There are taller buildings around it so views aren't necessarily a focal point. The overall square footage of the space is 27,000 square feet.

Children's Hospital
This hospital was located in Minnesota. Each student was responsible for designing two floors of the hospital. The first floor, included a lobby, play area, conference rooms, chapel, and staff offices. The second floor needed to have patient rooms, nursing stations, offices, and a family lounge.

Some of the challenges included making all patients feel welcome. Patient's ages varied from anywhere from newborn babies to young adults up to 22 years of age. How could we make each and every patient feel that they belonged there? I designed a patient room that allowed each child and family to customize the room to make it their own.

Corporate Offices for Global Advocates
This company is located at One Bryant Park in New York, New York. They were looking for a space that would get the three different branches of their company to work together. An open office layout was chosen to give optimum group seating and a somewhat lounge like feel for small groups to work together. They also wanted to keep the earth in mind while designing so the finishes chosen were some of the most eco-friendly products.

Artist's Loft
This loft located in Boston is both home and a work place for the small family that lives here. In the family of three that live here, both parents are artists and use their home to both work in an host small gallery exhibits. This is where most of their income comes from, so entertaining is a very important aspect in their lives.
